Tracking stops when my phone is locked
On iPhone, allow location access Always (Settings → PeakTracker → Location) and keep Background App Refresh on. On Android, allow location access and notifications, and turn off battery optimisation for PeakTracker (Settings → Apps → PeakTracker → Battery → Unrestricted). Some manufacturers (Samsung, Xiaomi, Huawei, OnePlus) have extra "sleeping apps" lists; make sure PeakTracker isn't on them.
A run was counted as a lift (or the other way round)
Detection uses speed, direction and altitude change. Weak GPS (in trees, under cliffs) or very slow, flat cat-tracks can confuse it. Keep your phone in an outside or chest pocket rather than deep in a bag. If a day looks badly wrong, send us a support request with the date and resort.
My top speed looks too high
A single bad GPS fix can produce a spike. PeakTracker filters these, but if one slips through you can report it. Leaderboard results that look implausible may be removed.
Do I need an account?
No. Tracking and your history work without signing in, and stay on your phone. Signing in with Google or Apple backs up your stats and turns on friends, leaderboards, snow reports and group sessions.
How do I add friends?
Open Friends and share your six-character friend code, or enter a friend's code. They'll get a request to accept.
How do I hide myself from leaderboards?
Turn off leaderboard participation in Settings.
How do I report or block someone?
Tap the ⋯ menu on their profile, snow report, group session or leaderboard entry and choose Report or Block. We review reports within 24 hours. Blocked users can't send you friend requests and their content is hidden from you.
How do I delete my account?
In the app: Settings → Account → Delete Account. Or on the web at /delete-account. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
